Oops!! I've been a very naughty blogger this last month! With December comes my bday, all the fabulous holidays, and then New Years--making me a very busy girl! As January has begun, I can get back on track and share my wonderful adventures with all! xxoo My last trip to Napa Valley included Cliff Lede, Opus One, Snowden, and Cain. I have now visited 62 wineries in the valley! Hurrah! Only 300+ to go... How many have you been to? We began at Cliff Lede (pronounced 'Lady'). It is located in Yountville, on a beautiful property in a nice bit of solitude. They were nice and festive and had a beautiful tabby cat. He was also featured in the vineyard cat book! I've never owned a cat, and most people I know are allergic to them, so I didn't want to put the sweet guy down! Alas, he was a purr-poseful cat and had other plans which did not involve sitting on my lap all day. We began with the scrumptious 2013 Sauvignon Blanc. Next we moved onto the 2012 Ferrington Vineyard Fel Pinor Noir. Sadly, the flagship label Poetry was not available on-premise for tastings. I'm still dying to try some! Next, we were led outdoors to take in the stunning views of the property. And inevitably, to harass the cat a bit further. Our tour guide then brought us into what can only be described as the psychedelic rock and roll tasting room. What a fun place to taste, and such party potential! We were lucky enough to get a splash of their 2011 "High Fidelity" bottling (a Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc). Before dashing off to our next tasting, we made sure to take in a bit more of the views and get some photos in. And now off to Opus One!
